Now You See It Now You Dont

In class, I have been learning about  show not tell to make my narrative interesting. I do this I have tried to change the way characters think and feel this is a story that me and Kayden changed from the story of the tunnel. 

 The Rip

 There were two brothers who were not at all alike; they were different in every way. The younger brother stayed on the sand and the older brother was always in the water. The older brother liked to swim with his bros, diving, tumble, bombing, snorkel, and surf in the waves. During the day the older brother liked to go on lots of action adventures but the younger brother would stay safe on the sand. Sometimes the older brother would creep up on the younger brother and drag him into the water. “Oh come on you little chicken, it’s only waves,” teased the older brother. One morning their mother got angry with them,“ like a cat and a mouse!” out you go together,’’ she said, and try to be nice to each other just for once’, Jack is out swimming bombing, and having fun while James is playing on the sand. jack tells James to come out for a swim because it is hot. James looks at the waves and thinks there to big for him to handle. ‘’James get in haer you little baby or I will drag you in’’ said Jack‘’James said no I will not leave this sandbank’’.Jack goes out to far then he gets caught in a rip and gets pulled out over 50 meters away from shore. His brother waited for him to come back from the water. Fear gripped his heart tears tethering to burst from his eyes. Knowing his brother might not come back James jumps into the water to go follow jack, knowing there were jellyfish, stingrays, and sharks but he was deternment to save or see where his brother is. As James was swimming out to jack, he saw a fin behind  Jack. James started to yell’’ shark! Shark! Behind you’’ swim to me, Jack said’’ you swim to me the current is too strong’’.OK! Then he swims to him and they swim together slow and steady knowing there was a shark behind them. They made it to the sandbank thanking james for saving him. They ran through the sand, down the road, and through the door. When they reached home, their mom was washing the dishes.’’ Hello,’’ she said, ’’ you two seem very quiet.‘’ is everything alright?’’ Jack smiled at his brother. James smiled back.

 In class, we have been learning about how to stay healthy. Health is your brain, heart emotions, and friendships. 

HOT TASK

In class, we did a cold task about what we already know. Our cold task was on narrative writing. this is a snapshot of what I can do in 30 mins by myself.

Once upon a time me and my family went to my auntys house and my two brothers ride there dirt bikes.I went with my cousin in a gatar to follow them around.

 Me and my cousin parked the gatar in the padic to watch them.My brother Isaac came down this little hill and parked his dirtbike  up behind me and my cousin. then my other brother Nathan  saw my Isaac’s  dirt bike and the gatar parked up and he rid down the little hill but he didint see the little drop at the end.

My brother came down the little hill fast and landed on one the front  wheel and flipped over the handlebars when my brother fell off the dirtbike me my other brother and my cousin were laughing and then all we hear is my Aunty Uncle dad and mum SHOUTING! Is he alright?my brother Isaac said yup  

On the way back home me and Isaac were laughing at Nathan and mocking him for falling off the dirtbike.                                                                          

A Change In Costoms

In class, we have been learning about forgiveness. We are learning why it is important. We read about Ngakuku and how forgiveness stopped ongoing war. Here is my reading response.

Hatchet- it might be good might not who knows

In class, I read Hatchet.I have been thinking about the author's message. we had to write a reading response to the book in testing conditions. Here are my thoughts about the book.

HATCHET NOVEL RESPONSE                    INTRO

                                                              

In class we have been reading a book called Hatchet and the book was written by Gary Paulson. This book is about a boy that gets lost in the bush after his plane crashed he has been lost for almost a month in the bush by himself.I think Gary Paulson wants us to know to never give up when something goes wrong or when you find yourself in brian's position.

brain was put in many bad positions like getting attacked by a mose that charged at him, hurting him, shoved his head into mud and when Brian tries to get up the mose attacks him again. A big tornado came and broke his shelter and many more things But he never gave up. At some points, he wanted to kill himself.I sometimes liked sometimes and couldn't be bothered reading it but the book was alright overall.
