Survivor Night 2022

Kia ora Mum&Dad  I think you should let me go to survival night 2022 because.

The reason I should go to survivor 2022 is because there are so many learning opportunities for me. I learned how to sleep out in the bush with my friends. We have to make  shelter with random sticks and a tarpaulin and we can also use skills like slip knotting, tying things, and many more things. We will also be learning how to survive with no power and doing lots of fun things with friends, like annoying teachers, walking, swimming, talking, and many more fun things.

Another reason is so i can learn how to cook and make food in the bush with no power to cook food besides using hot water and learn how to make a shelter in the bush with only random sticks that we find. There are also so many learning opportunities for me if I ever get lost in the bush. Learning more new things that i thought i would never learn.I know what the track is gonna be like i am gonna do some of Mr prickett’s challenges

So mum and dad have given me enough reasons to go to survivor night 2022 so the final question is.Can i go to survivor night 2022?

Creature Mihi

 Ko Wai au?

BY CHARLIE

I was found in a paddock of Aotearoa in a bush. My home is in the area of land that they call home. My land is that of the town of Moerewa. My mountain is Hokianga and my home is Aotearoa. I can trace my lineage back through my feet marks, and memorize my way back. I am a mammal, this means that I am warm-blooded and don't lay eggs. This means I am a Suidae and I am related to all other suidae animals such as warthogs and babirusas and they both have big tusks.I can grow tusks but not as big. I can live 15-20 years. I typically weigh between 50 and 350 kg. I can run up to the speed of 11mph.

My LimeRick Poem

In class, we have learned about limerick poems they are. A limerick is a poem with 5 lines.

Here is an example of one (i wrote with it independently)

Here is an example poem we look at in class…

There  once was a skinny boy from Spain

He loved to play in the rain

But he fell in a puddle

And ran to his mum for a cuddle

And that was the skinny boy from Spain

Apostle Paul

I once was a man named Saul.

I thought I knew it all.

I persecuted the church.

I went to Damascus to search.

Where Jesus transformed me to Paul.

I had lost my sight

All I could see was night.

I heard Jesus’s voice.

I made Him my choice.

Praise the Lord, I saw the Light.

goals

in class we have been setting our goals for this year

Doubling And Halfing Numbers

In class, we have been learning about a new maths strategy called doubling and halving.

when you do this strategy you look to see how you can make it easier

1.  5x48   so first you half the 48 to make that 24 then do 5x2 which equals 10 and 10x24=240

2.  .5x16  first you add half onto the .5  to make it 1 then you half the 16 so that becomes 8 the 1x8=8

3. 4x16 so first you times the 4 by 2 so that becomes 8 and then you divide the 16 by 2 so that becomes 8 and 8x8=64
